Mid-Level Corporate M&A Associate (3-5 PQE) – Bahrain

About the role

The Corporate Commercial department is seeking a Mid-Level Associate to join its M&A and General Corporate/Commercial team in Bahrain. You will support cross‑border and local transactions across the MENA region, advising a diverse client base that includes global corporations, listed companies, private equity firms and government entities.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on deal structuring and strategy for acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and other corporate transactions.
• Conduct legal due diligence and draft, amend and negotiate acquisition, shareholder and joint‑venture agreements.
• Provide counsel on licensing, franchising, agency, distribution and general commercial contracts.
• Interact with regulators and advise on corporate governance matters.
• Manage legal projects, support business development initiatives and meet billing and collection targets.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably from a leading international law firm.
• Qualified in a Common Law jurisdiction (preferably Common Law qualified).
• Dual experience in M&A and General Corporate/Commercial matters, with exposure to VC/PE transactions.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
• Demonstrated initiative in client development and ability to meet a billing average of six hours per day.
