Network Administrator

About the role

SAIC is looking for a Network Administrator to join a small, agile team supporting a deployable C4I system in Bahrain. The role involves on‑site technical support for network and communication infrastructure at garrison and deployed locations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in managing networks and hardware across command sites.
• Advise on the maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, VPN gateways, VoIP phones, VTC and INE devices.
• Create and maintain high‑quality technical documentation such as manuals, test plans, maintenance plans and job aids.
• Interpret engineering drawings and operational procedures to produce clear guidance.
• Research, analyze and organize technical data for documentation purposes.
• Edit documents for accuracy, consistency and compliance with government specifications.
• Utilize MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio and other tools to produce charts, diagrams and trackers.
• Participate in project, review and validation meetings.
• Maintain inventories of network and communications equipment.
• Serve as SME for tactical enclave deployments during exercises or contingency operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with no required experience.
• Ability to obtain or hold a Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time and to be deployed for a minimum one‑year assignment.
• Full‑time availability with day shift schedule.
