Network Engineer / Telecommunications Specialist

About the role

We are looking for technically skilled, analytical, and solutions‑oriented professionals to design, implement, maintain, monitor and optimise our network and telecommunications infrastructure. The successful candidate will collaborate with IT, engineering, operations, security, vendors and other technical teams to ensure reliable, secure and efficient connectivity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, VPNs, gateways and related network equipment.
• Support voice and data networks, transmission systems and other telecommunications services.
• Troubleshoot outages, connectivity issues, performance problems and infrastructure faults.
• Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, migrations and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Coordinate with telecom providers, equipment vendors, contractors and technical partners.
• Perform network testing, configuration validation, system checks and performance assessments.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, documentation and asset records.
• Implement security controls, segmentation, monitoring and other network security practices.
• Monitor bandwidth utilisation, capacity, traffic patterns and service performance.
• Assist with disaster recovery, backup connectivity, redundancy and business continuity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Network Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivering technical solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple technical teams.
