Network Security Specialist

About the role

The Network Security Specialist will support the Chief Security Officer in safeguarding Batelco’s telecom infrastructure. This role ensures the implementation of security governance, risk management, and compliance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce the information security governance framework and its effectiveness.
• Oversee vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for critical network components and IT applications.
• Review and act on security logs from IDS, firewalls, and anti‑virus tools.
• Lead corporate‑wide security initiatives such as encryption, PKI, intrusion detection, and disaster recovery.
• Prepare and track the annual security budget and report deviations.
• Maintain key security documentation, including the Statement of Applicability and ISO 27001 artefacts.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, generate insights, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify training needs, nominate team members for development, and promote security awareness.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of information security governance and risk management.
• Experience with security budgeting and financial reporting.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills for handling security incidents.
