Nominated Postholder – Ground Operations (Bahrain AOC)

About the role

Beond, the world’s first premium leisure airline, is establishing a Bahrain Air Operator Certificate (AOC). We are looking for a senior Nominated Postholder to lead the development, certification and oversight of ground operations for our Bahrain AOC, based in Manama.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe and secure ground operations in compliance with Bahrain ANTR and BCAA requirements.
• Define ground‑operations budget and coordinate with Flight Operations on new airport and handling requirements.
• Oversee and manage ground‑handling contracts and outsourcing arrangements.
• Monitor aircraft compliance with the AOC and close compliance findings promptly.
• Supervise ground crew licences, medicals and ratings, enforcing procedures and safety standards.
• Provide oversight of dangerous‑goods carriage and hazard mitigation.
• Issue handling documents per Bahrain ANTR, BCAA, ICAO, IATA and airport regulations.
• Develop the Ground Operations Manual (GOM) and implement the Safety Management System (SMS) under the Safety Manager.

Required profile

• Thorough knowledge of the AOC holder’s ground‑operations concept and Bahrain ANTR/BCAA certification requirements.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience, including at least 2 years in an aeronautical role of similar responsibility.
• In‑depth understanding of Bahrain ANTR, BCAA regulations, dangerous‑goods rules and ground‑handling standards.
• Must be acceptable to BCAA following formal assessment.
