OCC Specialist – Freight Pricing & Operations

About the role

DHL Global Forwarding is looking for an OCC Specialist to join its team in Bahrain. The role focuses on executing the OFR pricing strategy, handling pricing enquiries and supporting freight forwarding operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute plans and processes to implement the OFR pricing strategy.
• Respond to pricing enquiries in an efficient and competitive manner.
• Monitor and update local tariffs accurately and on time.
• Develop high‑priority RFQs, provide detailed guidance and conduct launch calls for critical RFQs.
• Prepare day‑to‑day shipment documentation for freight forwarding and assist in tender development.
• Maintain databases that enable quick responses to network queries.
• Build and secure business relationships with customers and airlines, and prepare carrier performance reports.
• Identify opportunities to enhance services, negotiate competitive airline rates while meeting service specifications and transit time targets.
• Support less experienced team members by providing direction and guidance.
• Study and resolve daily delivery issues and implement practices to increase pricing effectiveness and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
