PHP Developer (3-5 years) – Platform & Automation

About the role

KPMG Bahrain is looking for a PHP Developer to join its professional services team. The role focuses on supporting platform adoption, building automated workflow solutions, and ensuring the stability of internal and client‑facing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse complex business challenges and produce detailed technical scope documentation.
• Design and implement automated workflow solutions for internal processes and external clients.
• Oversee localized rollout, deployment, testing support, and post‑deployment updates.
• Maintain the KLH central master library to ensure data integrity and system availability.
• Act as the single point of contact for local and regional business units and external client teams.
• Collaborate with IT, risk, and compliance teams to validate solutions against GDPR, PDPL and other security frameworks.
• Evaluate government tenders for digital/software solutions and support strategic responses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience developing enterprise‑grade PHP applications.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical designs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• PHP (8.x+) and modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony).
• HTML5 and CSS3 for clean, semantic front‑end coding.
• MySQL schema design, query optimisation and structured data handling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
