Placement Officer

About the role

The Placement Officer for Consumer Lines will manage the end‑to‑end placement process for retail insurance products such as Motor, Home, Travel and other consumer lines. Acting as the key link between telesales, insurers and internal operations, the role ensures accurate quotations, timely policy issuance and smooth renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review lead submissions, obtain and compare quotations from approved insurers, negotiate terms and confirm placement.
• Process new business, renewals, endorsements and cancellations in the broker management system, ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance.
• Review renewal lists, secure renewal quotations ahead of expiry, coordinate with sales teams and maintain a renewal tracker.
• Maintain strong relationships with insurer underwriting and operations teams, monitor response times and support product development.
• Ensure all placements follow company policies, regulatory requirements and support internal audits and compliance checks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in insurance, finance or a related field.
• Experience reviewing lead submissions, obtaining quotations, negotiating terms and processing insurance policies.
• Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Understanding of local data protection and regulatory standards (e.g., PDPL, CBB).
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
