Placement Officer

About the role

The Placement Officer for Consumer Lines manages the end‑to‑end placement of retail insurance products such as motor, home, travel and other consumer lines. Acting as the bridge between telesales, insurers and internal operations, the role ensures accurate, timely policy issuance, renewals and endorsements while complying with underwriting and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive lead submissions, obtain and compare quotations from approved insurers, negotiate terms and confirm placement.
• Process new business, renewals, endorsements and cancellations in the broker management system, ensuring documentation accuracy.
• Maintain renewal trackers, secure quotations 45 days before expiry and coordinate with sales teams to avoid coverage lapses.
• Build and sustain relationships with insurer underwriting and operations teams, monitor response times and performance metrics.
• Support compliance with PDPL, CBB and internal audit requirements, and provide workflow improvement recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business or related field (preferred).
• 2–4 years of experience in insurance operations, underwriting or placement within a broker or insurer.
• Familiarity with motor and consumer insurance products; fluency in English (Arabic a plus).

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with CRM or policy management systems.
