Purchasing Supervisor

About the role

Accor Hotels is looking for a Purchasing Supervisor to lead procurement activities for its hotel in Manama. The role ensures cost‑effective sourcing, quality compliance, and timely delivery of goods and services to support hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Follow established procurement policies and procedures.
• Support cost‑control objectives and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Obtain quotations, conduct market surveys, and recommend high‑quality products at the best prices.
• Assist the Purchasing Manager in negotiations.
• In the Purchasing Manager’s absence, issue purchase orders and guarantee on‑time delivery of supplies and equipment.
• Maintain equipment and supplies catalogues and an up‑to‑date market inventory.
• Drive maximum savings without compromising quality.
• Coordinate closely with the Executive Chef to ensure timely delivery of food purchases meeting quality standards.
• Participate in quarterly, bi‑annual and annual inventory of operating equipment.

Required profile

• Report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and name tag.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, hygiene and adhere to hotel appearance standards.
• Provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
• Foster good working relationships with colleagues and all departments.
• Read and comply with the hotel’s Employee Handbook, especially fire, hygiene, health and safety policies.
• Observe local legislation and hotel regulations.
• Adapt to departmental changes and be flexible to undertake reasonable additional duties.
• Attend required training sessions and meetings.
