Senior Executive - Accounts Receivable

About the role

The Senior Executive – Accounts Receivable will lead the end‑to‑end AR process for a leading retail group in Bahrain. You will ensure financial accuracy, support reconciliation and reporting, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to keep cash flow smooth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end Accounts Receivable operations, including customer creation, invoicing, ageing analysis, collections and reconciliations.
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and overdue receivables, ensuring timely follow‑up.
• Perform customer ledger reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and allocate receipts accurately.
• Coordinate with sales, commercial and operations teams to resolve billing disputes, credit notes and pricing differences.
• Prepare and monitor AR ageing, collection and outstanding statements for management review.
• Ensure timely posting and reconciliation of customer receipts across bank and other payment channels.
• Support credit control activities, including credit limits, payment terms and escalation of overdue accounts.
• Assist in month‑end closing, AR reconciliation, doubtful debt provisions and balance‑sheet schedules.
• Maintain accurate customer master data and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Provide AR schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation to enhance collection efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 month of experience in accounts receivable or related finance functions.
• Familiarity with invoicing, collections, ageing analysis and ledger reconciliation.
• Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing and payment issues.
• Understanding of audit, compliance and internal control requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
