Senior Head Chef – Fine Dining

About the role

The Senior Head Chef is the right‑hand of the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef, ensuring the Ritz‑Carlton Bahrain fine‑dining standards are met daily. The role oversees smooth kitchen operations, optimises material and manpower use, and drives guest satisfaction through training and leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in supervising all kitchen staff and daily line‑up meetings.
• Develop and approve menus, compile recipes, and ensure use of local, seasonal products.
• Monitor food quality, storage, and safety standards, conducting multiple daily inspections.
• Control food costs, portion sizes, and inventory while maintaining high culinary standards.
• Run the hot plate during service, oversee presentation, and ensure cleanliness in all kitchen areas.
• Plan weekly duty rosters, manage overtime, and report accidents, sickness, and equipment issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of culinary or food‑and‑beverage experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Culinary Arts/Hotel Management with 3 years of experience.
• Proven ability to lead kitchen teams, train staff, and uphold Ritz‑Carlton standards.
