Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor will independently assess the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with policies and regulations, and operational efficiency across Yokogawa's Middle East & Africa operations. This role involves planning and executing audit engagements, reporting findings, and delivering actionable recommendations to enhance risk management and process performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed audit plans, defining objectives, scope, methodology, and timelines.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify high‑risk areas and prioritize audit activities.
• Execute audits of processes, systems, and functions to evaluate internal controls and policy compliance.
• Prepare clear audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and improvement recommendations.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Advise on process improvements to boost operational efficiency and risk management.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, J‑SOX requirements, industry standards, and applicable laws.
• Maintain accurate documentation of audit work and findings.
• Collaborate with various departments to understand processes and provide insights.
• Conduct audits across multiple countries in the region, ensuring consistency with regional regulations.
• Create statistical analyses for management reports to highlight audit trends.
• Provide regular management reports on audit performance, major findings, and strategic recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit, preferably at a senior level.
• Familiarity with J‑SOX, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage audit engagements across multiple countries.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to present findings and recommendations.
• Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
