Senior Tanker Driver

About the role

The Senior Tanker Driver ensures the safe and efficient delivery of petroleum products across Bahrain. You will lead a team of tanker drivers, oversee vehicle inspections, and coordinate with the Shift Supervisor to track deliveries and maintain high safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and validate tanker routes for new customer sites, identifying risks such as road conditions, traffic constraints, and height/weight restrictions.
• Conduct on‑site accessibility evaluations for new or redeveloped locations, reviewing entry/exit points, turning radii, and loading/unloading areas.
• Allocate delivery notes, instruct drivers on loading procedures, and monitor the loading and delivery process.
• Assist in training new drivers, perform competency assessments, and mentor drivers on safe driving, emergency response, and customer interaction.
• Provide field support during new site activations or route changes and resolve operational issues related to tanker access.
• Prepare and submit reports on site assessments, route evaluations, and driver performance, contributing to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience driving heavy, articulated vehicles.
• High school diploma or higher.
• Valid heavy‑vehicle license for vehicles exceeding 3000 kg, including trailer and semi‑trailer tanker trucks.
• Familiarity with petroleum product delivery, loading, and unloading processes.
