Stewards Supervisor

About the role

The Stewards Supervisor leads the steward team in Marriott’s banquet and kitchen operations in Manama. This role ensures cleaning processes are efficient, safe, and meet the brand’s high standards while supporting banquet and buffet service.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and assist stewards to improve clean‑up efficiency.
• Monitor and document water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning.
• Assist with banquet plate‑ups and support buffet stock management.
• Provide cooks and kitchen staff with needed items and assist with various tasks.
• Return cleaned items to their proper locations.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating staff.
• Follow all company, safety, and security policies; report accidents and unsafe conditions.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Uphold confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and communicate professionally.
• Develop positive working relationships and support the team to achieve common goals.
• Perform physical duties such as lifting up to 50 lb, standing for extended periods, and moving on uneven surfaces.
