Technical Services Engineer – Powerplant

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Services Engineer specialized in aircraft powerplant systems to support DHL’s air operations. The role works closely with the Technical Services Manager – Powerplant to ensure continued airworthiness and efficient material flow for our fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering assistance for aircraft production, troubleshooting system defects and liaising with manufacturers.
• Assess technical documentation from airworthiness authorities, manufacturers or vendors.
• Manage material forecasting, sourcing, pre‑purchase approvals, post‑purchase reviews and traceability through the TRAX management system.
• Ensure compliance with material receiving inspection procedures and update TRAX with accurate information.
• Evaluate new aircraft for airworthiness compliance and determine required Powerplant/APU modifications.
• Research Service Bulletin data, assess engineering requirements and support overhaul/repair of Powerplant and APU components.
• Coordinate full engine shop visits, from removal planning to invoice and release paperwork review.

Required profile

• Experience in aircraft powerplant or engine maintenance support.
• Strong understanding of airworthiness regulations and material management processes.
• Ability to work with technical documentation and liaise with manufacturers and vendors.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the TRAX aircraft management system.
• Material forecasting and inventory control.
• Technical documentation assessment.
