Trainee - Audit and Assurance

About the role

Grant Thornton Abdulaal (Bahrain), a professional services firm offering audit, tax and advisory services, is hiring a Trainee for its Audit and Assurance department in Seef. The role offers hands-on experience in auditing and assurance, working closely with experienced professionals across a wide range of industries and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing audit engagements, including tests of controls and substantive procedures
• Prepare financial statements and audit reports in line with relevant accounting standards
• Carry out research and analysis to support audit findings and recommendations
• Take part in client meetings and communicate with clients to gather information and address questions
• Work with team members to complete engagements on time and deliver high-quality work
• Keep up to date with accounting and auditing standards and regulations
• Build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
