Transportation Specialist – Naval Special Warfare

About the role

The Transportation Specialist coordinates passenger, cargo and equipment movements for Naval Special Warfare Group ONE Detachment Bahrain and deployed forces across the U.S. Central Command area. Working independently, you ensure timely strategic airlift, sealift and ground transportation to sustain operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Enter, maintain and cross‑reference data in multiple transportation databases.
• Retrieve and analyze data to respond to customer and vendor inquiries, identify trends and report deficiencies.
• Research transaction errors, resolve issues or forward them to appropriate government personnel.
• Conduct extensive searches on complex supply transactions and compile status reports.
• Review automated systems for improvement opportunities.
• Arrange and schedule passenger, personnel and cargo movements in coordination with USTRANSCOM, AMC, CENTCOM, SOCCENT, MSC, SDDC and other agencies.
• Provide oversight of strategic airlift and sealift requirements for deployments, redeployments, exercises and contingency operations.

Required profile

• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with U.S. Department of Defense transportation processes and stakeholder coordination.
