About the role
The AI Specialist will work across business units to identify, evaluate, and implement practical AI solutions that improve productivity, quality, and decision‑making. The role combines research, prototyping, and coordination of pilots while ensuring responsible and secure use of AI technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Explore and assess AI tools, models, agents, and platforms for relevance to business needs.
- Research, recommend, and prototype AI solutions that address specific productivity or efficiency challenges.
- Support the design, testing, and evaluation of pilots and proofs of concept, tracking outcomes and success metrics.
- Configure and implement approved AI solutions using platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, and related tools.
- Engage with departments to document use cases, prioritize based on value and feasibility, and gather feedback during pilots.
- Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, risks, and decisions with internal teams, vendors, and external specialists.
- Maintain clear documentation, user guides, progress reports, and lessons‑learned for each initiative.
- Continuously research emerging AI capabilities and share findings through demos, training, and reusable examples.
Required profile
- Strong interest in AI with the ability to quickly learn and evaluate new technologies.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills, capable of translating business challenges into AI use cases.
- Effective communication skills to explain AI capabilities and limitations in simple business language.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Basic understanding of data security, privacy, and responsible AI principles.
- Organised documentation and follow‑up skills to track pilot progress and outcomes.
Required skills
- Familiarity with modern AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Copilot Studio.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) and Microsoft 365 suite.
- Basic programming knowledge (Python, SQL, APIs, JavaScript, C#) for prototyping and minor code adjustments.
- Understanding of large language models, prompting, AI agents, and system integration.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure or equivalent) and optional experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
