Application Development Intern

About the role

Citi’s Application Development team in Bahrain is looking for a motivated intern to join a global technology group that supports $5 trillion of daily transactions. You will work on real‑world software projects, gaining exposure to finance‑focused technology while developing your coding skills.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build software solutions using Java or C# based on business requirements.
• Apply fundamental programming concepts, multi‑threading, and relational database knowledge.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide timely solutions to front‑line business users.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with Citi policies and relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or a related field.
• Strong desire to learn, grow in technology and understand the financial industry.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to ethical decision‑making and integrity.

Required skills

• Java or C# programming.
• Understanding of multi‑threading concepts.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases.
