Application Security Tester

About the role

The Application Security Tester will work closely with development and technical teams to identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities in both in‑house and outsourced applications. You will ensure that applications are built and hosted securely by applying industry‑leading testing methodologies and staying current with emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Perform security testing, hardening, and vulnerability scanning of web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with developers to remediate findings and improve secure coding practices.
• Configure, implement, patch, and upgrade security testing tools such as Nessus, ZAP, Burp Suite, and Metasploit.
• Generate detailed vulnerability reports and track issues to resolution.
• Research and recommend new application security technologies and solutions.
• Participate in incident response activities for application‑related security breaches.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of application security principles and secure development lifecycle.
• Ability to evaluate evolving security threats in a business context.
• Experience working with technical teams to drive security improvements.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
