Arabic Teacher

About the role

The International School of Choueifat in Cairo is seeking a qualified Arabic Teacher to deliver the SABIS® curriculum and support student achievement. The successful candidate will join a dynamic academic team, applying the SABIS® teaching methodology to foster a disciplined, engaging learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Arabic lessons using provided lesson plans or develop plans aligned with SABIS® pacing charts.
• Mark examinations and assessments according to departmental schedules.
• Collaborate with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department on disciplinary and performance matters.
• Implement the SABIS® point system to maintain a conducive classroom atmosphere.
• Invigilate exams and ensure proper exam conditions.
• Provide additional support to low‑performing students to improve motivation and results.
• Prepare students for external examinations by reviewing past papers and following revision schedules.
• Assist with administrative duties such as supervising lunches, bus organization, traffic control, and substitute teaching when required.
• Participate in student‑life activities, including art, open house, and physical education events.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in Arabic, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a school environment.

Required skills

• MS Office proficiency.
