Asset Protection & Safety Manager

About the role

The Asset Protection & Safety Manager supports Exchange management by designing, implementing, and evaluating loss‑prevention programs that cover safety, physical security, and operational reviews. This role also serves as the collateral Safety Manager, ensuring a secure environment for associates and patrons.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and assess loss‑prevention initiatives, recommending improvements to policies, procedures, and techniques.
• Lead internal and external investigations of theft, unethical conduct, accidents, workplace violence, fraud, waste, or abuse, documenting findings in formal reports.
• Oversee overnight surveillance, covert camera installations, and investigations of dishonest associates, vendors, and contractors.
• Administer Navy Occupational Safety and Health and Fire Prevention programs, ensuring compliance with Department of Navy codes.
• Hire, train, mentor, and supervise loss‑prevention and safety staff, enforcing manual‑based policies.
• Conduct monthly operational reviews and audits of cash offices, vending, and safety areas, collaborating with General Managers to remediate deficiencies.
• Develop shrink committees and action plans to reduce inventory loss.
• Manage physical security systems including CCTV, EAS, alarms, and key control.
• Support fiscal year‑end inventory processes and report irregularities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in loss‑prevention, safety, and security management.
• Strong investigative skills with ability to conduct thorough reports.
• Ability to lead and develop a team of loss‑prevention and safety professionals.
