Assistant Restaurant Manager – Greek/Mediterranean Restaurant

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operations of our Greek‑Mediterranean restaurant at Sofitel Bahrain. You will ensure exceptional service, drive guest satisfaction, and support the overall dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, maintaining high standards of service and presentation.
• Manage, train and motivate restaurant staff to foster a positive and efficient work environment.
• Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance the dining experience and increase revenue.
• Curate and maintain an extensive wine list, providing expert recommendations to guests.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and cleanliness regulations.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create and update menus reflecting seasonal ingredients and trends.
• Monitor inventory levels and oversee purchasing to keep the restaurant well‑stocked.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly to maintain service excellence.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, preferably in fine‑dining or upscale settings.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Greek cuisine and culture is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
