Associate Factory Manager

About the role

The Associate Factory Manager will lead a large joinery manufacturing operation of over 700 workers, overseeing production of display cases, bespoke interiors and joinery products. The role focuses on improving efficiency, quality and capacity while aligning practices with European standards.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance existing processes, propose mechanisation and optimise machining cycles (CNC laser, milling, polishing, upholstery).
• Plan and adjust production schedules, allocate work with shop‑floor supervisors and monitor workload across all sections.
• Lead new product development, selecting machines, tools, fixtures and inspection methods.
• Drive continuous improvement, resolve technical bottlenecks and implement Lean manufacturing techniques.
• Manage staff recruitment, performance, training and development to maintain a skilled workforce.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in factory management within a large furniture or joinery manufacturing company.
• Proven ability to lead a workforce of 700+ employees and strong man‑management skills.
• Deep technical knowledge of woodworking, joinery construction, finishes, timber, veneers and related machinery.
• Experience with capacity management, planning and resource allocation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multinational environment.
