Business Development Director

About the role

The Business Development Director leads growth initiatives, identifies new market opportunities and builds strategic partnerships to drive sustainable revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development strategies and growth plans.
• Identify new markets, clients, partnerships and revenue opportunities.
• Lead client acquisition, proposals, tenders, negotiations and commercial discussions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis and monitor industry trends.
• Set targets, KPIs, budgets and monitor sales pipelines, conversion rates and revenue.
• Prepare reports, forecasts, budgets and management updates.
• Coach and develop business development and sales teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management, Economics or related field.
• Extensive experience in business development, sales or commercial management.
• Proven track record of developing new markets, clients and partnerships.
• Strong analytical, strategic and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and relationship‑building skills.
