Business Development Executive - Bakery & HORECA

About the role

A leading supplier of bakery ingredients and products, operating for more than 30 years across five countries, is looking for a self-motivated, results-driven Business Development Executive to grow sales and build new business in the bakery, foodservice, HORECA and food manufacturing sectors across Bahrain. The position is based in Manama and reports to the Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets and company KPIs and business objectives.
• Identify and acquire new customers and grow existing accounts.
• Visit customers regularly, present products and negotiate sales.
• Prepare quotations, follow up on inquiries and close deals.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and high satisfaction levels.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs.
• Report daily activities and market intelligence accurately to the line manager.
• Coordinate with internal teams for order processing and timely delivery, and follow up on collections.
• Update sales activities and customer data in the company CRM/ERP system.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in business, marketing or a related field.
• 3-5 years of sales experience in food ingredients, bakery or HORECA.
• Experience in the Bahrain market preferred.
• Valid Bahrain driving licence is mandatory.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reporting and data analysis).
• Sales, business development and customer relationship management.
• Negotiation and presentation skills.
