Data Analytics Specialist

About the role

The Data Analytics Specialist will collect, process, and interpret data to support business decisions and improve performance within a banking environment. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into analytical models, dashboards, and actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, extract, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisation solutions using Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.
• Translate business requirements into analytical models, performance indicators and reporting frameworks.
• Analyse customer behaviour, transaction patterns and business trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Design, develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and management reporting.
• Perform data quality assessments and implement validation processes.
• Automate reporting processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Support the development and maintenance of data models, datasets and BI solutions.
• Collaborate with IT and data teams to improve data accessibility, integration and reporting capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, information security and confidentiality requirements.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence or a related role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related field.
• Banking or financial services experience preferred.
• Professional certifications in data analytics, BI or data visualisation are an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL and database querying.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar BI and visualisation tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Experience with data preparation, data modelling and reporting automation.
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis (advantage).
