Director of Food & Beverage

About the role

The Director of Food & Beverage will lead the commercial concept, operational launch and brand positioning of all dining venues and room service operations for a luxury hotel in Manama. The role ensures each outlet delivers premium hospitality, strong profitability and market differentiation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and launch venue concepts, service styles and marketing positioning across restaurants, bars, lounges and MICE spaces.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef on profitable menu and beverage design, pricing and regional market analysis.
• Oversee OS&E selection, venue layout coordination and back‑of‑house logistics prior to handover.
• Set and manage the pre‑opening F&B budget, KPIs, cost ratios and revenue forecasts.
• Establish SOPs, luxury service protocols and ensure HACCP and local health compliance.
• Recruit, train and lead a high‑performing F&B team, delivering service excellence.

Required profile

• 5–8 years experience as a Director of Food & Beverage or Executive Assistant Manager in a luxury hotel.
• Proven pre‑opening track record for F&B operations.
• Experience in the GCC/Middle East market, preferably Bahrain.
• Degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration or related field.

Required skills

• Strong financial acumen – P&L management and food cost control.
• Deep knowledge of international culinary trends, wine and mixology programmes.
• Implementation of HACCP and food safety standards.
