About the role
The Designer will create detailed physical and electrical designs for high‑voltage power protection and automation projects, working under a technical lead and supporting project estimates.
Key responsibilities
- Create detailed physical and electrical designs and support job estimates.
- Prepare CAD drawings and project documentation.
- Provide design engineering support to project technical leads.
- Mentor drafters and ensure high‑quality deliverables within timelines and budgets.
Required profile
- Associate degree in EET, CAD, Drafting or equivalent experience.
- Three+ years of high‑voltage electrical design experience, especially protective relay control systems.
- Ability to work with moderate technical supervision and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Willingness to travel as needed and pass background and drug tests.
Required skills
- Proficiency in CAD drafting (AutoCAD or MicroStation).
- Knowledge of protective relay installation requirements.
- Understanding of SCADA and process control systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
