Electrical Engineer – Interior Fit‑Out & MEP Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the planning, execution, supervision, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems on interior fit‑out and MEP construction projects. The role involves close coordination with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all electrical installation activities for fit‑out projects, reviewing drawings, specifications, BOQs and shop drawings.
• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, civil, mechanical and interior fit‑out teams and ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
• Monitor project progress, conduct site inspections, quality checks and ensure work is completed according to schedule.
• Lead testing and commissioning activities, prepare reports and support final handover to clients and consultants.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, contractors and suppliers to resolve technical issues and attend coordination meetings.
• Prepare material take‑offs, monitor consumption, assist in variation orders and track project budgets.
• Enforce HSE policies, conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks and implement quality control procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of electrical engineering experience, including at least 3 years on commercial or retail fit‑out projects.
• Previous Gulf region experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage projects, supervise site works and control costs.

Required skills

• Electrical distribution, lighting and power, LV and ELV systems.
• Fire alarm, structured cabling, CCTV and access control systems.
• Testing and commissioning procedures and local authority regulations.
• AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), Primavera P6 (preferred), ERP systems.
• MS Office, MS Excel.
