Electrical Technician (EWA Licensed) – Commercial & Industrial

About the role

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems across commercial, residential and industrial properties. The role also covers the installation, testing, commissioning and upkeep of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations while ensuring compliance with Bahrain EWA regulations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, wiring, distribution boards, circuit breakers, lighting, sockets and power outlets.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical assets, including EV charging stations.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Commission, test and maintain EV charging infrastructure, including cabling, protective devices and isolators.
• Conduct routine inspections, prepare installation and commissioning reports, and respond to emergency breakdowns.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and clients during installation projects.

Required profile

• Valid EWA Electrical Technician License (mandatory).
• Diploma, ITI or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance, preferably in commercial buildings or facilities management.
• Experience with EV charger installation is an advantage.
