Electrical Technician (EWA Licensed)

About the role

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems across commercial, residential and industrial sites. The role also includes the installation, commissioning and upkeep of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations while ensuring compliance with Bahrain EWA regulations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, wiring, distribution boards, circuit breakers, lighting, sockets and power outlets.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for all electrical assets.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical installations.
• Install, commission, test and maintain EV charging stations, including related cabling and protective devices.
• Perform site inspections and prepare infrastructure for EV charger installations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and clients during installation projects.
• Prepare installation reports, commissioning documents and maintenance records.

Required profile

• Valid EWA Electrical Technician License (mandatory).
• Diploma, ITI or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Technology.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance, preferably in commercial or facilities‑management environments.
• Experience with EV charger installation is an advantage.
