Electrician

About the role

The Electrician will execute electrical wiring plans for lighting, intercom and other systems across Mantis hotels, eco‑lodges and related facilities. The role combines installation, preventive maintenance, emergency response and thorough record‑keeping to ensure safe, reliable operation of all electrical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Execute detailed electrical wiring plans, install apparatus, fixtures and safety components, and verify circuit compatibility.
• Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections and troubleshooting to avoid breakdowns.
• Respond to emergency electrical calls after midnight, carry out urgent repairs and support the Engineering Supervisor.
• Maintain fire‑alarm systems, and attend to major equipment such as generators, sewage treatment plants (STPs) and desalination plants.
• Keep accurate logbooks of parts used, maintenance requests and material consumption; report major issues to supervisors.
• Ensure cleanliness around electrical work areas and assist with general manpower needs.
