Electrician – Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to perform diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and installations on vehicles, heavy equipment, machinery, and workshop electrical systems. The role ensures safe, reliable operation while upholding high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in light and heavy vehicles, construction equipment, and machinery.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair wiring, lighting circuits, batteries, alternators, starters, sensors, and control systems.
• Install and replace electrical components and accessories as required.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Use electrical testing instruments and diagnostic tools to identify faults and verify repairs.
• Assist in maintaining workshop electrical installations and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Coordinate with mechanics, technicians, and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or ITI Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Auto Electrical, or a related trade.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrician or Auto Electrician.
• Experience with heavy equipment, commercial vehicles, or construction machinery is preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, batteries, charging systems, and diagnostic equipment.
• GCC experience is an advantage.
