Engineering Lead – Options

About the role

Keyrock is seeking a Head of Engineering / Engineering Lead to own and evolve its systematic options trading platform. The role combines technical leadership with people management, guiding a team of around seven engineers to deliver high‑performance, Rust‑native trading systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Options Engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high‑impact culture.
• Own the existing Rust‑based systematic options trading platform and drive its continuous improvement.
• Provide technical direction across trading infrastructure, system design, performance, reliability, and risk controls.
• Work closely with trading, quant, product, risk, and infrastructure stakeholders to translate business needs into robust engineering solutions.
• Balance delivery ownership with operational discipline, ensuring production reliability and low‑latency execution.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in systematic trading, options market‑making, or low‑latency trading systems.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams in a fast‑moving fintech environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the capacity to navigate complex engineering and trading challenges.
• Willingness to work within European or US East Coast time zones.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Rust.
• Hands‑on experience with C++.
