English Humanities Teacher

About the role

The International School of Choueifat in Cairo is seeking an English Humanities Teacher to deliver the SABIS® curriculum and support student achievement. The role involves planning, delivering, and assessing lessons while fostering a disciplined, engaging classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned English Humanities classes using provided lesson plans or develop plans aligned with SABIS® pacing charts.
• Mark examinations and assignments according to departmental schedules.
• Collaborate with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department on disciplinary and performance matters.
• Implement the SABIS® Point System to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Proctor exams and ensure proper test conditions.
• Provide additional support and motivation to low‑performing students.
• Assist with external exam preparation and revision schedules where applicable.
• Perform ancillary duties such as student supervision, traffic control, and participation in school events.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience.
• Professional behavior and ethical conduct.
• Ability to deliver results.
