F&B Captain – In Villa Dining

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Captain to lead our In‑Villa Dining team at Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain, delivering exceptional in‑room dining experiences for our ultra‑luxury guests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the In‑Villa Dining team during shifts.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of menu items, ingredients, garnishes and preparation methods.
• Greet guests warmly and provide personalized in‑room dining service.
• Set up, present and serve meals according to departmental standards.
• Promote upselling opportunities and respond to guest enquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organization of trolleys, workstations and equipment.
• Follow food safety and HACCP standards at all times.
• Handle collection and breakdown of used dishes, trays and trolleys efficiently.
• Report guest feedback, complaints and irregularities to management.
• Support other F&B outlets during busy periods as needed.
• Safely operate a buggy for timely delivery and collection of orders.
• Take responsibility for Destination Dining setups and create “WOW” experiences.
• Train, coach and mentor junior waitstaff.
• Coordinate daily tasks to ensure timely service delivery.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of luxury in‑room dining experience.
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or captain role.
• Excellent English communication skills; additional languages a plus.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Ability to work outdoors and maintain professional grooming and guest discretion.
