Field Service Technician

About the role

This hands‑on position supports customers with onsite repairs and service of rotating equipment while supervising field service personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Dismantle, inspect, machine, repair and rebuild Sulzer and non‑Sulzer rotating equipment.
• Carry out field service repairs and overhauls at workshop and client sites.
• Supervise subcontractors when required.
• Liaise with customers to compile job reports and represent Sulzer.
• Assist in maintaining OSH, quality and environmental policies and procedures.
• Support implementation and maintenance of ISO accreditation.
• Interpret engineering drawings.
• Balance rotating equipment and align pumps, motors, etc.
• Machine components as needed.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with electrical and mechanical products, including field service.
• Strong communication and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and travel >50% of the time.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
