Gardener – Luxury Hotel Grounds

About the role

The Gardener is responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of the hotel’s outdoor spaces, ensuring a pleasant and luxurious environment for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain property grounds, including fountains, planters and other features.
• Install, water, weed, trim and prune flowers, trees, shrubs and lawns.
• Replace and transplant trees, flowers and shrubs as needed.
• Trim and edge grass in areas that mowers cannot reach.
• Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, raking leaves and performing snow/ice removal when applicable.
• Operate and maintain irrigation systems, dump trucks, tractors and other utility vehicles.
• Remove and bag trash from all exterior trash cans.
• Wash, clean and refuel equipment after use.
• Follow all safety policies, report hazards and perform routine equipment inspections.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related grounds‑keeping experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Operation of dump trucks and tractors.
• Operation of irrigation systems.
• Lawn mowing, edging and grass‑trimming equipment operation.
• Basic equipment maintenance and cleaning.
• Safe handling of utility vehicles and manual dexterity for equipment use.
