Global Controller

About the role

AVANA Companies is seeking a world‑class financial leader to serve as Global Controller. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the integrity of financial reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions, supporting capital markets, acquisitions and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close and consolidation processes under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Perform quality control of all accounting outputs before senior leadership review.
• Partner with the CEO on projections, scenario analysis, capital‑markets and transaction support.
• Provide M&A and joint‑venture financial due diligence, valuation support and post‑deal integration analysis.
• Coordinate audit and tax activities with external advisors across all jurisdictions.
• Maintain internal controls, treasury discipline and ERP‑based reporting (Acumatica or equivalent).

Required profile

• 12+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including multi‑entity consolidations and multi‑jurisdiction reporting.
• Big 4 audit or advisory experience at senior/manager level (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC).
• CPA required; CMA, ACCA or equivalent highly preferred.
• Top‑tier university degree in accounting or finance with strong academic standing.
• Proven track record beyond day‑to‑day accounting in capital markets, M&A or acquisition modeling.
• Ability to work independently and report directly to the CEO.
