Head of Revenue Cycle Management

About the role

The Head of Revenue Cycle Management provides strategic and operational leadership for all revenue cycle functions across the hospital. This senior position ensures optimal revenue capture, cash‑flow management, and financial sustainability while maintaining compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the hospital’s Revenue Cycle Management strategy aligned with financial objectives.
• Oversee end‑to‑end revenue cycle activities including patient access, insurance verification, coding, billing, claims submission, denial management, and collections.
• Drive initiatives to maximise reimbursements, improve cash flow and reduce revenue leakage.
• Monitor performance metrics, establish KPIs and implement corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead denial management and appeals processes to minimise claim rejections.
• Manage accounts receivable, AR ageing, bad‑debt exposure and collection strategies.
• Prepare and present monthly performance reports to the CFO and executive team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading revenue cycle operations in a hospital or large healthcare organization.
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic financial initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial and operational metrics.
• Excellent communication skills for advising executive leadership and payer relations.
