Hostess

About the role

The Hostess will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating process. This role combines guest interaction, reservation management, and coordination with the service team to maintain high service standards in a five‑star hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and record guest reservations, assigning tables efficiently.
• Greet guests at the entrance and escort them to their seats.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, address complaints, and ensure service quality.
• Order and manage dining‑room supplies and equipment.
• Inspect dining and serving areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Supervise and coordinate food‑and‑beverage servers and other serving staff.
• Maintain financial statements and records related to the dining area.
• Adhere to LQA and Forbes standards throughout the shift.

Required profile

• Secondary school education completed; hospitality degree or diploma preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience as a waitress or hostess in a five‑star hotel.
• Excellent communication skills in Business English and proficiency in a second language such as Arabic.
• Strong food and beverage knowledge and ability to work under pressure.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with fire and life‑safety systems.
