HSSE Manager

About the role

As the HSSE Manager you will lead the health, safety, security and environmental strategy for Comsip Al' A'ali, ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations. You will foster a proactive safety culture across all projects in the oil & gas and power energy sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HSSE policies, procedures and management systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analyses and corrective‑action planning.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits and environmental impact evaluations.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and company standards, preparing performance reports for senior management.
• Deliver HSSE training to employees, contractors and stakeholders.
• Liaise with government authorities, emergency services and third‑party auditors.
• Manage site security protocols, emergency response plans and incident command systems.
• Oversee waste management, pollution control and sustainability programmes.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance safety culture and environmental stewardship.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety or a related field.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification (mandatory).
• 15–20 years of HSSE experience in Oil & Gas and/or Power Energy sectors.
• Proven leadership of multi‑site or large‑scale projects.
• Experience with incident command systems and emergency preparedness.
• Excellent communication, training and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Multilingual abilities (Arabic, English, etc.).

Required skills

• ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 lead auditing.
• NEBOSH IGC / Diploma certification.
• Permit‑to‑work system expertise.
• HSSE software and reporting tools proficiency.
• Incident command and emergency response planning.
