Junior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our newly built infrastructure team. You will help design, automate and secure Penny’s cloud platform, working closely with developers to deliver reliable services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Replace manual deployments with Infrastructure as Code.
• Monitor resource usage, configure autoscaling and ensure high availability.
• Perform security hardening and manage IAM permissions.
• Administer MongoDB Atlas clusters.
• Implement monitoring and observability solutions.
• Centralize secret management with GCP Secrets Manager.

Required profile

• Strong interest in cloud infrastructure and automation.
• Ability to read and understand at least one programming language (JavaScript or Python).
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast‑growing tech environment.

Required skills

• Linux bash scripting.
• Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts.
• Basic Docker knowledge.
• Familiarity with cloud services (GCP, serverless, VMs, Kubernetes).
• Infrastructure security best practices.
• Monitoring and observability tools.
• MongoDB Atlas administration.
• GitHub Actions workflow creation.
• GCP Secrets Manager and IAM handling.
