Licensed Aircraft Engineer

About the role

The Licensed Aircraft Engineer is responsible for all professional engineering activities during an assigned shift, ensuring aircraft are released to service safely and efficiently. The role involves defect rectification, certification, and coordination with line‑maintenance teams and airline operators.

Key responsibilities

• Perform shift duties, reviewing handover sheets and addressing any discrepancies.
• Inspect aircraft components, rectify defects, and issue Release to Service certificates.
• Maintain and verify the functionality of line‑maintenance tools and equipment.
• Communicate with airlines and flight operations regarding technical issues and flight delays.
• Prepare and submit regular technical service reports and occurrence reports when required.
• Monitor and follow technical checklists, airline logbooks, and post‑flight reports.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure equipment replacement and support are timely.
• Adhere to corporate policies, safety management systems, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Valid aircraft engineering qualifications and current recurrent training.
• Familiarity with corporate, security, quality, safety, occupational health, and environmental management systems.
• Ability to work shift patterns and handle handover information accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
