Maintenance Engineer – Electrical

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer – Electrical to join our team in Bahrain. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and optimizing electrical equipment and infrastructure across oil & gas, refinery and petrochemical sites.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, including turnarounds and shutdowns.
• Maintain and troubleshoot high‑voltage (HV) and low‑voltage (LV) systems in hazardous areas, ensuring compliance with ATEX/IECEx standards.
• Use SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) to schedule, track and report maintenance activities.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement electrical safety programs in line with HSE regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of electrical maintenance experience in oil & gas, refinery or petrochemical industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred.

Required skills

• Expertise in HV/LV systems, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, VFDs, UPS, generators, motors and lighting.
• Proficiency with SAP PM for maintenance planning and reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical design drawings, specifications and standards.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards (HSE, ATEX/IECEx) and risk assessment procedures.
