Maintenance Manager – Plastic Pipe Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead all mechanical, electrical and maintenance activities within a plastic pipe and fittings manufacturing plant. The role focuses on maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing unplanned downtime and ensuring safe, continuous production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes for extrusion lines, injection molding machines, chillers, compressors and auxiliary equipment.
• Lead troubleshooting, repair and root‑cause analysis for major equipment failures, driving corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs such as equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR and maintenance compliance.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, tools, consumables and critical maintenance supplies.
• Supervise, coach and develop a team of technicians and coordinate with external contractors.
• Support installation, commissioning, modification and upgrades of machinery.
• Collaborate with Production, QA/QC, Warehouse and other departments to minimise production interruptions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, ISO procedures and company maintenance policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering.
• 8‑10+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably plastic pipe or fittings production.
• Proven experience with plastic extrusion lines and/or injection molding machines.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including PLC, VFD and control‑panel knowledge.
• Previous experience managing and developing a maintenance team.
