Mechanical Supervisor

About the role

Supervise and coordinate mechanical construction, installation, fabrication, maintenance, and commissioning activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical activities at project sites and workshops.
• Lead and manage mechanical foremen, technicians, fitters, welders, fabricators, riggers, and subcontractors.
• Review project drawings, specifications, method statements, and work schedules prior to execution.
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials, and resources to achieve project targets.
• Monitor work progress and ensure activities are completed according to approved schedules.
• Coordinate with project engineers, clients, consultants, and other disciplines for smooth execution.
• Ensure installations comply with codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical, operational, and resource-related issues.
• Verify material availability and coordinate with procurement and stores.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain project documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical construction, industrial maintenance, fabrication, or contracting projects.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in industrial plants, commercial construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, or heavy engineering projects.
• GCC experience preferred.
