OT Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an OT Cyber Security Engineer to lead the design, implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity architecture for manufacturing environments. The role combines hands‑on network engineering with OT‑specific security expertise to protect critical process control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to implement and maintain cybersecurity architecture in OT environments.
• Ensure compliance with network security guidelines, design specifications and documentation for project delivery.
• Support multinational engineering teams and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct inspections and health‑check audits of Yokogawa cyber security solutions.
• Mentor and lead DCS/ESD/SCADA service engineers for lifecycle support of security solutions.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience in the OT industry with at least 2 years of project leadership or service‑maintenance experience.
• Hands‑on system and network engineering experience, preferably in process control.
• University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 60 % within the MEA region.
• Relevant certifications such as MCSE, CCNA/CCNP; IEC 62443 or GICSP are a plus.

Required skills

• Endpoint protection tools: McAfee ePO, VSE, ENS, Symantec Endpoint Protection.
• Microsoft platforms: Active Directory, Group Policy, system hardening, WSUS, Terminal Services.
• Backup & recovery solutions: Acronis, Symantec Backup Exec, NetBackup, bare‑metal recovery, SAN and LTO tape libraries.
• Network security: Cisco Firepower, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortigate firewalls; Cisco switching and routing.
• Vulnerability management and network monitoring (SolarWinds, WhatsUp Gold).
• Network architecture design and implementation.
• Virtualisation: VMware ESXi, Hyper‑V, high‑availability configurations.
• Hardware platforms: HP, Dell servers and storage.
